In The Round
This year, 2025, for the 70th Townsville Art Awards, I wanted to create a unique piece that would showcase our wonderful flowering eucalypts. I also wanted it to be freestanding, so as I could enter it into the 3D category of the exhibition. And I wanted it to be big. After a lot of research, I ended up commissioning a perspex tube so the sculpture could hang into the space. I learnt so much about designing sculptures that can be viewed from all sides with this piece. I could not be happier with how it turned out.

Treetops
After being invited to trial Euclay (an air-dried clay made of Eucalyptus Leaves), I was quickly invited to exhibit in Euclay Australia's Natures Echo exhibition, held at the Alcoa Art Gallery in Mandurah, Western Australia. T So what does one make with an air-dried clay made with eucalyptus leaves, a eucalypt of course. Based on Corymbia ficifolia, this piece is professionally framed in a white box frame with museum quality glass. The exhibition opened 24th November 2025, and runs till the 16th January 2026
Size 460mm x 530mm
Price $2500.00

Meeting Place
The Hinchinbrook Art Awards, held from 14th November till 19th December 2025, saw another eucalypt study utilizing Euclay for the gum nuts, and housed in a small perspex tube. I have always enjoyed making chewed up leaves in my sculptures, so this time, I also added leaf beetles.
